Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that it has moved back the HD DVD release of 'Hot Fuzz' from its original July 24 bow by one week.

The hit comedy from the British duo of Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright, was first announced for high-def release late last month as a HD DVD/DVD combo disc, due July 24.

Order 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'

Coming to Blu-ray June 12th

Now the studio has pushed the release back a week, to coincide with the July 31 HD DVD arrival of another Pegg-Wright hit, the zombie parody 'Shaun of the Dead.'

Specs for 'Hot Fuzz' remain the same, as does its $39.95 suggested list price.

We've updated the listing for 'Hot Fuzz' in our HD DVD Release Schedule, where it now resides under July 31 next to 'Shaun of the Dead.'
