Warner Serves 'No Reservations' on Blu-ray, HD DVD

The Catherine Zeta-Jones/Aaron Eckhart romance 'No Reservations' is hitting both high-def formats this February, but don't expect any high-res audio or much in the way of extras.
With a meager domestic gross of only $40 million, 'No Reservations' failed to cook up much interest at the box office this summer, but Warner clearly hopes to entice a wider audience when it debuts the Scott Hicks-directed culinary comedy in a February 12 day-and-date cross-format bow on HD DVD, Blu-ray and standard-def DVD.
The studio is apparently going on a diet with the extras, however, with all formats sharing only an episode excerpt from the Food Network series "Unwrapped," which goes behind the scenes of the making of 'No Reservations.' Exclusive to both high-def versions will be an additional Food Network excerpt from the "Emeril Live" show, featuring Eckhart and co-star Abigail Breslin.
Tech specs include identical 1080p/VC-1 encodes, and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio (640kbps) -- sadly, Warner has not opted to include Dolby TrueHD or uncompressed PCM.
Suggested retail for the Blu-ray is $34.98, while the more pricey HD DVD/DVD combo is $39.98.
