More 'Harry': HD DVD, Blu-ray Stand-Alone Releases Announced; Add'l Box Set Details Revealed

In its second Harry Potter-related announcement in as many days, Warner Home Video has added stand-alone editions of each the first four films in the franchise to its next-gen release plans.
As we've previously reported, the studio is rolling out the high-def red carpet for the boy wizard on December 11, with a dual-format release of both 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,' and a limited edition giftset, 'Harry Potter Years 1-5.'
But while at first it wasn't clear whether or not Warner would make stand-alone editions of the first four 'Potter' flicks available on HD DVD and Blu-ray, the studio has now confirmed that indeed each of the earlier films will see individual high-def release alongside the giftset and 'Order of the Phoenix' on December 11.
Tech specs are still TBA, but Warner says supplements on the stand-alone editions will mirror those included on the individual movie discs in the box set, including audio commentaries, multiple featurettes, deleted scenes and more. Additionally, each of the stand-alone Potter releases will also contain a set of four trading cards specific to the title purchased.
List price for the individual Blu-ray and HD DVD releases will be $29.98 a pop.
Meanwhile, in other 'Potter' news, Warner has released full details on what will be included in that second bonus content disc that will be exclusive to the 'Years 1-5' giftset.
Although we learned yesterday that the bonus disc would contain "more than three hours of all-new content," it turns out that that content is comprised entirely of a series of previously-broadcast TV specials, including four separate "HBO First Look" specials, and two ITV/Granada specials (the full list of included TV specials can be read here).
