'Darkman,' 'Sea of Love' Lead Universal Late July HD DVD Wave

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced its last wave of HD DVD titles for July, featuring the catalog favorites 'Darkman' and 'Sea of Love.'

Each will receive 1.85:1 widescreen transfers encoded in 1080p/VC-1 video. Audio specs include Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 surround tracks (1.5mbps) on both, while 'Darkman will also receive a full-blown Dolby TrueHD (48kHz/16-bit) option as well.

Coming to Blu-ray June 12th

Supplemental features will replicate those found on the standard-def DVD counterparts, which for 'Sea of Love' includes an audio commentary, retrospective featurette and deleted scenes, while on 'Darkman' means absolutely zero.

Both titles are due in stores July 31, and will list for a suggested retail price of $29.95 a pop.
